1/2 flour 3 oz. butter or margarine 1 tea spoon of baking powder 1 desert spoon of castor sugar 1 egg pinch of salt a little milk |

What to do |
Pre heat oven to 210 C Sieve the flour, and rub in the butter. Add the other dry ingredient. Add almost all the egg and a little milk to make a light dough. Add the milk a little at a time until the dough bonds. Roll out on a floured board and cut into rounds. Brush with the remaining egg. Cook for about 10 to 15 minutes |
